4. Google Consent Mode V2 and Tag Rocket
Our website uses Google Consent Mode V2, implemented in Advanced mode via Tag Rocket, our tag and consent management platform for BigCommerce.
Google Consent Mode is a framework that adjusts how Google’s tags (such as Google Analytics and Google Ads) behave based on the consent choices you make. It communicates your consent status directly to Google in real time.
What Advanced mode means for you:
In Advanced mode, before you have given your consent to analytics or advertising cookies, Google’s tags operate in a restricted, cookieless state. During this pre-consent state:
No cookies are set on your device by Google.
No personal data is collected or used for advertising or profiling.
Anonymised, aggregated signals with no personal identifiers may be sent to Google solely for statistical modelling purposes (for example, to estimate overall conversion rates). These signals cannot be used to identify you and do not constitute personal data under GDPR.
Once you grant consent for analytics and/or advertising cookies via our consent banner, Google’s tags become fully active for the categories you have consented to. If you decline or do not interact with the banner, the cookieless restricted state remains in place for your entire visit.
The four consent signals communicated to Google via Consent Mode V2 are:
analytics_storage — controls whether Google Analytics can set cookies and collect measurement data. Active only with analytics consent.
ad_storage — controls whether Google Ads can set cookies for advertising and conversion measurement. Active only with marketing consent.
ad_user_data — controls whether your data (such as hashed email, where applicable) can be used by Google to improve conversion measurement. Active only with marketing consent.

BigCommerce — our ecommerce platform provider. BigCommerce sets strictly necessary cookies required to operate the store, manage your cart, and process your checkout. Payment processors — our payment provider(s) may set strictly necessary cookies for the purpose of fraud detection and secure payment processing. 7. International Data Transfers

8. Data Retention
The lifespan of each cookie is described in Section 3 above. In general:
Session cookies are deleted automatically when you close your browser.
Persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or until you delete them via your browser settings or our cookie preference tool.
